Gavin Luter

Gavin Luter is a community engagement professional and previously served as full-time Managing Director of the Educational Partnerships for Innovation in Communities Network (EPIC-N), a coalition of colleges and universities dedicated to connecting higher education's human capital with the needs of local governments and communities. Professionally, he is the Chair for the Place-Based Justice Network. He spent 7 years as Managing Director of the UniverCity Alliance at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he connected local governments to campus resources. He also previously served as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Campus Compact.
Gavin received his PhD from the University at Buffalo in Educational Administration, his MS from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in Higher Education Administration, and his BA in Public and Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech. He is a published scholar in the field of community-university-school partnerships. He's an avid tennis player and enjoys traveling alongside his spouse.
