Shukriya Mahmmoodee Bradost is a doctoral researcher at Virginia Tech, specializing in the securitization of ethnic groups in Iran. A member of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) since 2010, she brings a wealth of experience as a lawyer, journalist, political analyst, and researcher. Shukriya frequently shares her insights on international and Middle East security issues through prominent media outlets such as BBC Persian, I24, VOA, and Iran International TV.

In addition to her media contributions, Shukriya actively engages with prestigious think tanks, including serving as a contributor to the Washington Institute for Near East Studies. She is particularly interested in research on non-state actors, militia groups, and counterterrorism efforts. This focus aligns with her broader commitment to enhancing the discourse on the Middle East within academic and public spheres. Collaborating with institutions such as the Atlantic Council, Johns Hopkins MENA, the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA), and various research centers, Shukriya's diverse background enriches the understanding of complex security dynamics in the region.
