Professorial Promotions

The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors met on June 8, 2021, to approve faculty promotions and tenure. . SPIA is happy to announce that two of our faculty members were among those recently promoted. Ariel Ahram, chair of the Government and International Affairs program,was promoted to Professor. And, Todd Schenk, Urban Affairs and  Planning, has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure. We are proud of our two colleagues; their work and contributions during their time at SPIA have been an asset to our programs and to the university as a whole.
