Sadhana Manthapuri
Ph.D. candidate, Planning, Governance, and Globalization (PGG)
Sadhana Manthapuri is pursuing her Ph.D. degree in PGG-UEDP Stream. Before joining Virginia Tech, she had two years of work experience in assisting the state government of Telangana, India to frame and implement various sustainable urban development policies.
She had completed her master’s degree with a specialization in regional planning in 2019 from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. During this period, she had researched in understanding the dynamics of cultural economics in India. She had also worked on sustainable development of the Andaman Islands, which is home to indigenous tribes.
