Shaheera Sayed
Ph.D. candidate, Planning, Governance, and Globalization (PGG)
Shaheera is originally from Pakistan and Turkey, but she was born and lived in Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia for 16 years and considers that her hometown. Shaheera has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Hollins University and a Master of Public Administration from North Carolina State University. She is member of the Phi Alpha honors society. Before starting this program, she worked for a community engagement and grassroots movement organization focused on housing opportunities and access for Asian and Asian American communities. In addition to that, she has worked for nonprofit organizations ranging from community, civic engagement, humanitarian aid work, and environmental conservation.
