Elmamoun (Moon) Sulfab

Ph.D. candidate, Planning, Governance, and Globalization (PGG)

Moon Yousif Sulfab is a Ph.D. student at the School of Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech. He’s a full-time U.S Senate staffer and a technology professional with more than 20 years of experience in the U.S. Congress. Moon earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Marymount University. Moon has two master’s degrees: a Master’s with honors (Delta Sigma) in Information Systems Management from Marymount University School and a Master of Arts in National Security Studies with a concentration in Cyber Security Policy from the American Military University. Additionally, he has two graduate certificates from the Air Force Command Staff College and the U.S. Army War College. His research interests focus on global governance and great power competition in cyberspace, especially how geopolitical conditions are affected by cyber politics.
